탈무드 미쉬나 p41(kilayim-p2)

Turnips and the cabbage turnip, cabbage and cauliflower, beet and rumex do not constitute kilayim one with the other.

무와 양배추무, 양배추와 콜리플라워, 비트와 루마크는 서로 킬레임 (혼합해 심는)하지 않는다.(※루마크 : 바다물과 수영과 쇠비름 지치 등이 있음: bard 설명)

 

 Rabbi Akiva added: garlic and small wild garlic, onion and small wild onion, lupine and wild lupine do not constitute kilayim one with the other. 랍비 아키바는 다음과 같이 덧붙였다 :  마늘과 작은 야생 마늘, 양파와 작은 야생양파, 루핀(콩과)와 야생 루핀도 킬레임 하지 않는다

As for trees: the pear and the crustumenian pear, the medlar and azarolus, do not constitute kilayim one with the other. 

나무에 있어서는, 배와 껍질배, 헛개나무와 아자롤(산사나무속 식물:bard 설명) 은 서로 킬레임(혼합)하지 않는다."

 

The apple and the crab-apple, or the peach and almond, or the jujube and rimin, even though they are similar one to the other, they nevertheless constitute kilayim one with the other. 사과와 크레이바풀(사과일종), 복숭아와 아몬드,  Jujube (대추)와 리민(대추일종)은 비슷하지만 서로 킬레임(혼합식재)을 하지않는다.(※리민 :  대추와 비슷한 과일로 한국에서는 거의 재배되지 않지만. 중국과 일본에서 주로 재배되며 약용으로도 사용: bard설명).

크레이바플은 사과나무의 일종으로 일반 사과보다 작고 신이 많습니다. 한국에서는 흔하게 볼 수 없지만 서양권에서는 자주 식용하거나 잼이나 주스를 만들어 먹습니다

  The radish and the cabbage turnip, mustard and charlock mustard, Greek gourd with Egyptian gourd or [Greek gourd] with bitter gourd, even though they are similar one to the other, are nevertheless kilayim one with the other. 무와 양배추 순무, 겨자와 들겨자, 이집트 조롱박과 그리스 조롱박, 쓴조롱박과 그리스 조롱박은 비록 서로 유사하더라도 킬레임(함께심지)  않는다.

charlock mustard 들겨자,  쓴맛이 강하고, 식용으로는 적합하지 않음.

 

A wolf and a dog, a wild dog and a fox, a goat and a deer, a gazelle and a ewe-amb, a horse and a mule, or a mule and a donkey, a donkey and a wild donkey, even though they are similar one to the other, constitute nevertheless, kilayim one with the other.  늑대와 개, 야생 개와 여우, 염소와 사슴, 가젤과 어린 양, 말과 노새 또는 노새와 당나귀, 당나귀와 야생 당나귀는 비슷하지만 서로 킬레임(동물의 경우 함께 키우거나 혼배: bard 설명) 하지 않는다

  They may not graft from one tree to another, or from one vegetable to another, or from a tree to a vegetable, or from a vegetable to a tree. Rabbi Judah permits it from a vegetable to a tree. 나무끼리, 채소끼리, 나무와 채소 사이에 접붙이기를 해서는 안 됩니다. 랍비 유다는 채소에서 나무로의 접붙이기는 허용해야한다고 합니다.

They may not plant vegetables in a trunk of a sycamore tree.시커모어 나무  몸통에 채소를 심어서는 안 됩니다.

sycamore tree는 버즘나무과에 속하는 낙엽 교목. 북미, 유럽, 아시아 등지에 분포하며, 한국에서는 남부 지방에서 자랍니다.  키가 30~40m까지 자랄 수 있으며, 잎은 넓은 난형으로 얕게 3~5갈래로 갈라집니다. 꽃은 5월에 피며, 흰색 또는 연한 노란색입니다. 열매는 공 모양으로 9월에 익습니다. 공해에 강하고 내한성이 뛰어나 도시 공원이나 가로수로 많이 심습니다. 또한, 목재는 가구, 악기, 건축 자재 등으로 사용됩니다.

 

They may not graft rue on white cassia, since that is [grafting] a vegetable on a tree. 

루를 흰 카시아에 접붙이지 말아야 합니다.

루 (Rue):       루는 운향과류과에 속하는 작은 관목으로, 강한 냄새가 나는 잎과 노란색 꽃을 갖고 있습니다. 유럽과 아시아 지역에서 자생하며, 관상 식물, 약용 식물, 향료 등으로 이용됩니다. 잎과 종자에는 강한 독성이 있으므로 주의해서 다루어야 합니다

카시아 (Cassia):  카시아는 결핵과류과에 속하는 여러 종류의 나무와 관목의 총칭입니다. 가장 흔하게 알려진 카시아 종류는 다음과 같습니다. 백색 카시아 (White Cassia): 꽃이 하얀 꽃카나무(Senna alata)를 말합니다. 관상용 목적으로 심으며, 잎에서 추출한 세나잎은 주사제의 재료로 쓰이기도 합니다. 관엽카시아 (Senna tora): 잎이 관형이고 노란색 꽃을 갖는 일년성 식물입니다. 잎은 약용으로 이용됩니다.                                                                       : bard설명

 

They may not plant a young fig-hoot in sea squill so that it might provide shade for it. 어린 무화과를 바다달구지 잎에 그늘지게 심어서는 않됩니다.

 

They may not insert a vine branch into a melon, in order that the latter might shoot its moisture to the former, since that is [grafting] a tree on a vegetable. 포도 가지를 멜론사이에 심어서 멜론의 습기를 포도 가지에 전달되게 해서는 않됩니다. 왜냐하면 그것은 채소에 나무를 접목시키는 것이기 때문입니다. 

 

They may not place gourd seed into anchusa for the purpose of preserving it (the gourd seed), since that is [grafting] a vegetable on another vegetable. 호박 씨앗을 밀원초사이에 뿌려서는  안 됩니다. 왜냐하면 그것은 채소를 다른 채소에 접붙이는 행위이기 때문입니다." (※ 안추사 : 밀원초, 암초꽃과 식물로 푸른 꽃을 피운다. 열매는 검은색이며 약용으로 쓰기도 합니다. bard 설명)
