탈무드 미쉬나 p43(kilayim-p4)

How much must he plow [when overturning the soil]? Like the furrows [that are plowed after the [first] rainy season. 

"땅을 갈아 엎을때 그는 얼마나 깊이 쟁기질해야 합니까? 첫 번째 우기 후에 갈아엎은 고랑처럼." 쟁기질해야 합니다.

 

Abba Shaul says: [one should plow] so that one does not leave [unplowed] as much [ground] as holds a quarter [kav] to a bet seah.  "Abba Shaul은 땅을 갈 때, 한 베트(한) 세아 ( 한세아 약2.12리터) 에 쿼터(1/4) 케브(규정) 정도의 땅을 남기지 말아야 한다. (※  땅을 갈 때, 땅을 고르게 갈기 위함. 땅을 고르게 갈지 않으면, 곡물이 잘 자라지 못할 수 있다. 따라서, 아바 샤울은 땅을 갈 때, 땅을 고르게 갈기 위해 한 베트 세아에 곡물 한 세아의 1/4 정도의 땅을 남기지 말아야 한다고 말합니다. bard 설명)

  [His field was] sown [with grain, or pulse, or garden-seed], and he changed his mind and decided to plant it [with vines], he may not say: “First I shall plant [the vines] and then turn [the soil],” but he must [first] turn [the soil] and then he may plant [the vines]. "그의 밭에 곡식이나 pulse(콩?), 채소 씨앗이 이미 심어져 있었는데, 후에 맘을 바꿔 포도원으로 만들고 싶다면 . "먼저 포도나무를 심고 땅을 갈겠다" 고 말할수 없다. 반드시 먼저 땅을 갈고 포도나무를 심어야 합니다. 

 

[If it was] ‘planted’ [with vines] and he changed his mind and decided to seed [with grain, pulse or garden-seed], he may not say: “First I shall sow [the grain etc.] and then I uproot [the vines],” but he must [first] uproot [the vines] and then he may sow [the grain etc.] 만약 포도나무가 심어져 있는데 그가 마음을 바꿔서 곡물, pulse(콩?) 또는 정원용씨앗을 뿌리고자 한다면 . "먼저 곡류등의 씨를 뿌리고 포토나무를 갈아업겠습니다" 라고 말해서는 않된다, 반드시 먼저 포도나무를 갈아업고 곡류등의 씨를 뿌려야 한다. 

 

If he wants, he may cut down [the vines] to less than a handbreadth [above ground], and then he may sow [the grain] and later, he uproots [the vines].  만약 원한다면 땅위의 한뼘보다 작도록 낮게 포도나무를 자르고 나서 곡류등의 씨를 뿌리고 나중에 포도나무의 뿌리를 완전히 뽑아내도 된다. 

 

His field was sown cumin or with arum, he must not sow on top of them, since they produce crops only after three years. 

그의 밭에 커민 이나 아름이 심어져 있다면 그 위에 씨앗을 뿌려서는 않됩니다. 왜냐하면 이 식물들은 3년이 지나야 과실을 맺기 때문입니다. (※ 단년생이  토양자양분을 빼앗아서 다년생의 성장이 방해되므로 다년생이 수확된 후에 씨쁘리도록 규정하고 있음 : bard 설명)

 

[A field of] grain among which sprang up some aftergrowth woad, alternatively an area of threshing-loors in which many species sprang up, alternatively [a field of] clover among which grew up a number of species of herbs, he is not obliged to weed them out. 곡류밭에 옻나무가 나중에 자랐거나 , 타작마당에 여러 종류의 식물이 자란경우, 클로버밭에 여러종의 허브가 자란경우,   경우 이를 제거할 의무는 없습니다. 

 

But if he weeded or cut down the weeds, they say to him: “Uproot it all, except for one species.” 그러나 만일 그가 잡초를 뽑거나 베어버렸다면 하나의 종류를 제외하고는 모두 뽑아버리라고 말합니다.

 

  One who wants to lay out his field in long straight rows each sown with a different species:Bet Shammai says: three furrows of newly broken land. 만일 긴줄로 각각 다른종류로 씨를 뿌리고자 한다면 삼마이 학파는 새로운 씨를 뿌릴 고랑은 3개의 고랑만큼 떨어져 있어야 한다. 

 

 But Bet Hillel says: the width of a Sharon yoke. And the words of these are close to the words of these.하지만 힐렐 학파는 샤론멍에 (소의 멍에종류, 약1.5m 너비: bard설명) 의 너비만큼 떨어져 심어야 한다고 말합니다. 그리고 이들 학파의 말은 다음의 말과 비슷합니다.

 

If the point of an angle of a wheat [field] overlaps into a barley [field], it is permitted because it looks like the end of his field.  밀밭의 모서리가 보리밭으로 겹쳐지면 그의 밭의 끝부분처럼 보이기 때문에 이때는 혼합식재가 허용됩니다. 

 

If his [field] is of wheat, and his neighbor’s is of another species, he may sow [next to the border] some of the same species [as that of his neighbor]. 만약 그의 밭이 밀밭이고 그의 이웃의 밭이 다른종류라면 그는 이웃과 같은 종류로 경계선 옆에 일부 씨를 뿌릴 수 있습니다. 

 

If his field was of wheat and that of his neighbor’s was of wheat, he may sow next  to him a row of flax, but not a row of any other species. 그의 밭이 밀밭이고 이웃의 밭도 밀밭이면 그는 이웃밭옆에 한줄의 아마를 심을 수는 있지만 다른종류의 작물 한줄은 않된다.
