 And he may take the dung out from the enclosure, and spread across his field in the manner of those who fertilize their fields. 그리고 그는 울타리로 부터 거름을 꺼내서 밭에  비료를 주는 것처럼 자신의 밭에 뿌려도 됩니다. 

 

   A man may not open a stone quarry within his field for the first time, unless there are in it three layers, each three [cubits long], three wide and three high, for a total of twenty-seven stones..  자신의 밭에 처음으로 채석장을 열려면  3개의 층으로 구성되어야 합니다.  각층은 길이1큐빗,  넓이3큐빗, 높이가 3큐빗으로  총 27개의 돌[(27=1×3 × 3 × 3층)이 있어야 합니다.

 A wall that consists of ten stones, each a load for two men, may be removed, [if] the measurement of this wall is [at least] ten handbreadths high.  두사람이 운반할 수 있는 10열개의 돌로 이루어진 벽이  높이가 적어도 열 손너비 이상이면 제거할 수 있습니다. 

 

Less than that he quarries it and he may lower it to within one handbreadth of the ground.

벽이 그보다 낮은경우에는 벽을 채석하고 땅에서 한 손너비 이내로 낮출 수 있습니다.

When is this so? From his own field, but from that of another, he may remove whatever he wishes.

언제 적용되나요?  자신의 땅에 있는 벽을 제거할 때 입니다. 그러나 벽이 남의 땅에 있는 경우 그가 원하는 대로 제거할 수 있습니다. 

 

When is this so? When he did not begin [to remove the stones] in the sixth year, but if he began in the sixth year, he may remove whatever he wishes. 언제 하나요?  6년째 해 이외에 돌을 제거하기 시작한 때 입니다, 그러나 6년째 해에 돌을 제거하기 시작했다면 그가 원하는데로 제거해도  됩니다. 

 

Stones which the plow has turned up, or which had been covered and became uncovered, if there are among them at least two, [each] the load of two men, they may be removed. 쟁기질로 들어난 돌이나, 덮여있다가 들어난 돌 중 적어도 두개 이상이 각각 남자 둘이 들을 수 있는 무게이면 제거할 수 있습니다.  

 

One who removes stones from his field, he removes the top layers, but he leave those touching the ground. 

자신의 땅에서 돌을 제거하는 사람은 위층의 돌을 제거하고, 땅에 닿은 돌은 그대로 둡니다. 

 

And likewise a heap of pebbles, or a pile of stones; he may remove the top layers but must leave those touching the ground. 자갈더미나 돌무더기도 마찬가지로, 위층은 제거해도 되지만 땅에 닿은 것은 남겨 두어야 합니다. 

 

If, however, there is beneath them rocky soil or stubble, they may be removed.

하지만 그 아래가  바위투성이나 묵은 짚더미가 있으면 그것들을 제거할 수 있습니다. 

 

They may not build steps leading to ravines in the sixth year after the rains have stopped, for this would be improving the fields for the seventh year.  비가 그친 후의 6년째 해에는 계곡으로 내려가는 계단을 만들어서는 않됩니다, 그 이유는 7년째 해를 위해 밭을 개량하는 것이 되기 때문입니다.  

 

But he may build in the seventh year itself, after the rains have stopped, for this would be a improving the fields for the eighth year. 하지만 7년째 해에는 (계곡으로 내려가는 계단을 만드는 것이 )가능합니다, 왜냐하면 8년째 해를 위한 밭의 개량이 되기 때문입니다. 

 

He may not block them [the steps] with earth, but he may make an embankment.

그는 계단을 흙으로 막지는 못하지만 제방을 만들 수는 있습니다. 

 

Any stone which he can stick out his hand and pick up, may be removed.

그의 손을 뻗어 집을 수 있는 돌은 모두 제거할 수 있습니다.
