탈무드 미쉬나 p46 (kilayim-p7)

 Rabbi Akiva says: [as long as] it is six handbreadths long and fully as wide.  랍비 아키바는 말합니다.  길이가 6뼘이고 너비가 길이만큼 되어야 한다고 말합니다. 

Rabbi Judah says: [as long as] the width is  the full width of a footstep. 랍비 유다는  너비가 발걸음 한 걸음 만큼  되면 된다고 말합니다. 

  Planting two rows of cucumbers, two rows of gourds, and two rows of Egyptian beans is permitted. 오이두줄, 호박두줄, 이집트콩 두줄을 심는 것은 허용됩니다. 

 

 [But planting] one row of cucumbers, one row of gourds and one row of egyptian beans is prohibited. 그러나 오이 한 줄 , 호박 한 줄, 이집트 콩 한 줄을 심는 것은 금지됩니다.

 

 [Planting] one row of cucumbers, one row of gourds, one row of Egyptian beans and [again] one row of cucumbers: Rabbi Eliezer permits, But the sages forbid. 오이 한 줄, 호박 한 줄, 이집트 콩 한 줄을 심고  다시 오이 한 줄을 심는 것은 랍비 엘리에제르는 허용하지만, 율법 학자들은  금지합니다. 

 

One may plant a cucumber and a gourd in one hole, as long as this [species] inclines in one direction, and the other [species] in the opposite direction. 오이와 호박을 한 구멍에 심으려고 한다면 한종류가 자라는 방향과 반대방향으로 다른종류가 자라야 합니다. 

 

And he should tip the leaves of one [species] one way, and the other the opposite way, since all that the sages prohibited [in matters of kilayim] they only decreed because of appearance. 그리고  한종류의 잎과 반대방향으로 다른종류의 잎이 자라도록 기울여 줘야 합니다. 율법학자들이 킬레임(혼합재배금지 규율)로 금지한  모든것은 단지 외관상의 문제 때문입니다. 

 

His field was sown with onions, and he wishes to plant in it rows of gourds:Rabbi Ishmael says: he pulls up two rows [of  onions] and plants [in the cleared space] one row [of gourds], then he leaves onions over a space of two rows, pulls up two rows [of onions] and plants [in the cleared space] one row [of gourds, and so on]. 그의 밭이 양파가 심어져있고 그가 호박을 심기를 원한다면 랍비 이스마엘은 다음과 같이 말합니다 :  양파 두줄을 뽑고 깨끗해진 빈공간에 호박 한줄을 심는다, 그런다음 양파 두줄를 남겨두고  건너뛰어서 다시  두줄의 양파를 뽑고 깨꿋해진 빈공간에 호박한줄을 심고 이런식으로 계속 합니다. 

 

Rabbi Akiva says: he pulls up two rows [of onions], plants [in the cleared space] two rows [of gourds], then he leaves onions over a space of two rows, pulls up two rows [of onions], and plants two rows [of gourds; and so on]. 랍비 아키바는 말합니다: 양파밭 두줄을 뽑아내고 깨끗해진 빈공간에 호박 두줄을 심고, 그런다음 양파두줄을 남겨두고   양파 두줄을 뽑고 꺠끗해진 그 빈공간에 호박 두줄을 심는다. 그리고  이런 식으로 계속 합니다. 

 

The sages say: if between one row [of gourds] and the next there are not twelve cubits, one may not allow that which is sown in the intervening space to remain. 율법학자들은 말합니다: 만일 호박한줄과 그 옆줄 사이에 12큐빗(팔꿈치 길이) 이상의 간격이 없다면 옆 고랑을 침범하여 섞여 심은것처럼 보이기 때문에 허용되지 않는다. 

 

A gourd [sown] among a [different] vegetable [must be separated by as much] as any other vegetable. 다른 채소사이에 심어진 호박은 다른 채소들이 떨어져 있는 거리 만큼  떨어져 있어야 합니다. 

 

[A gourd sown] among grain he must give it [a separating space of] a bet rova. 곡류사이에 심어진 호박은 베트로바(거리?) 만큼 공간으로 떨어져 있어야 합니다. (※ 탈무드에서 사용하는 단위의 정확한 크기는 시대와 지역에 따라 다를 수 있습니다. bard 설명)

 

If his field was sown with grain, and he wishes to plant within it a row of gourds, he must give [the gourds] six handbreadths for them to be worked. 밭에 곡류가 심어져 있고 그 밭에 호박 한줄을 심고 싶다면,  호박을 심을 공간에 작업할 6뼘의 공간이  확보되어야 합니다.
